The Role: We’re looking for a Programmes Engagement Manager to help bring our programmes, learning and impact to life. This is a new role within our Programmes team, created as our portfolio of funded programmes grows. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Programmes and External Affairs to engage hospices in our work and make sure the learning from our programmes is seen, understood and shared across the hospice sector and beyond.

You’ll develop and deliver engaging communications and engagement plans, create and share compelling content and case studies, and help us find the best ways to connect with our members. You’ll work across a varied portfolio, including programmes focused on hospice workforce and governance, transition from children’s to adult hospice care, neurological conditions, frailty and improving care for people experiencing socio-economic disadvantage.

You’ll be a confident communicator with excellent writing and editorial skills, able to tailor content for different audiences and digital channels. You’ll be proactive and organised, with strong relationship-building skills and the ability to plan ahead while adapting to changing priorities. You’ll also be comfortable introducing new ways of working, bringing people with you and using initiative to find solutions.

You’ll join a passionate Programmes team that brings together expertise in project and event management, clinical care, evidence and evaluation. Your work will help us strengthen relationships with our members, share learning and good practice more effectively and, ultimately, contribute to better hospice care for patients and families across the UK.

About You: We’re looking for a confident and engaging communicator who can turn complex information into clear, accessible content for different audiences and channels. You’ll understand how thoughtful communications and engagement can build strong relationships, encourage participation and help share learning and impact.

You’ll be organised and proactive, with the ability to develop and deliver engagement plans, build productive relationships and work collaboratively across different teams. You’ll be comfortable introducing new ways of working, using your initiative to solve problems and adapting your approach when priorities or circumstances change.

You’ll bring excellent people skills, sound judgement and the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy. You don’t need to have worked in the hospice sector before. We’re interested in the skills and potential you can bring, alongside a willingness to learn and build your understanding of our members and their work.
