Clinical Manager – Inpatient Unit

Harlington Hospice is seeking an exceptional Clinical Manager to provide inspirational leadership and operational oversight within our Inpatient Unit. This is a pivotal role for someone who is passionate about delivering safe, high‑quality, compassionate care while shaping the future of our inpatient services.
As a senior clinical leader, you will act as a visible role model and expert practitioner—supporting patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team. You will help drive strategic development, strengthen clinical governance, and cultivate a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong operational and clinical leadership across the Inpatient Unit.
- Lead on the strategic development of inpatient services and the development of 10 new CHC beds, ensuring they remain responsive, innovative, and person‑centred.
- Oversee governance, quality, and safety, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and continuous improvement.
- Champion workforce leadership and development, nurturing a skilled, motivated, and compassionate team.
- Act as a clinical expert and point of escalation for complex care needs.
- Foster collaborative working across the hospice and wider healthcare partners.
Skills & Experience Required
- Operational & Clinical Leadership – proven ability to lead teams and services effectively.
- Strategic Thinking – experience shaping service direction and implementing long‑term plans.
- Governance, Quality & Safety – strong understanding of clinical governance frameworks and quality improvement.
- Care Quality Commission – proven ability to promote and continually work with the Quality Statements.
- Workforce Leadership & Development – ability to inspire, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams.
