12 month fixed term maternity leave cover with possible extension. Are you an enthusiastic and creative fundraiser who loves bringing people together through memorable events? Do you have the drive to inspire supporters and generate vital income for a cause that makes a real difference every day? The Hospice of the Good Shepherd is looking for an Events Fundraiser to join our ambitious Income Generation team. This exciting role will support the planning and delivery of a varied programme of fundraising events that help fund specialist care for local people and their families.
Working as part of our Fundraising team, you will help deliver a calendar of high-profile fundraising events including our Twilight Walk, Foamtastic Colourblast, Santa Dash, Hospice Strictly plus a range of corporate and community events. You will play a key role in ensuring participants, volunteers, sponsors and supporters enjoy an outstanding experience while helping us achieve ambitious income targets.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for coordinating event logistics, managing supporter journeys, recruiting and supporting volunteers, promoting events, maintaining accurate fundraising records and working with colleagues across the hospice to maximise participation and income.
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to build positive relationships with supporters, volunteers, suppliers and colleagues. You will have experience in event planning and delivery and be confident managing multiple projects at the same time. Experience of fundraising, working with volunteers or working within the charity sector would be advantageous, but above all we are looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
You will be a confident communicator, comfortable representing the hospice at events and in the community, and able to inspire supporters through storytelling and relationship building.
