Senior Strategic Procurement & Product Estimator
Lancing, West Sussex
* Full time, permanent
* £35,000 – £40,000 per annum

The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Strategic Procurement & Product Estimator to bridge the gap between product development, procurement, and manufacturing. In this high-impact role, you’ll shape product design choices, drive cost efficiencies, and optimise the supply chain from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
* Product & Production Planning – Partner with engineering to select materials, optimise designs, and align procurement with product roadmaps. Monitor industry trends and assess supplier capacity.
* Procurement & Buying – Source suppliers based on quality and performance, manage relationships, and secure custom components while ensuring scalability and JIT efficiency.
* Cost Estimating & Optimisation – Generate cost estimates early, analyse material and production costs, and drive value engineering to maximise cost savings across the product lifecycle.

The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for an analytical, detail-oriented professional with strong expertise in procurement, product costing, and strategic planning. About you:
* Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
* 5+ years in procurement, cost estimation, planning, or product development.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
* Proven ability to influence design decisions and optimise costs.
* Proficiency in ERP systems, cost estimating tools, and Excel.
* Leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional collaboration.
* Experience in the electronic industry and a certification in supply chain management is desirable.
