An exciting opportunity at a luxury hotel near Edinburgh Waverley station, which is currently looking for an Assistant Chief Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Job Duties Assistant Chief Engineer in supporting our Chief Engineer to ensure smooth day-to-day operations within the maintenance and engineering department.
It is crucial that we work together to uphold the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction throughout our operations.
- Job Duties
- Assisting in maintaining our building systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Ensuring full compliance with industry standards and internal regulations, including statutory requirements related to building operations.
- Supporting health and safety standards to provide a safe environment for all occupants.
- Ensuring that emergency lighting is tested and maintained in accordance with regulations.
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of Legionella awareness and relevant health and safety legislation
- Supervising and coordinating preventive maintenance work while conducting regular safety and maintenance inspections across the hotel.
- Coordinating and supervising contractors to ensure services are delivered efficiently and to the highest quality under the guidance of our Chief Engineer
- Job Requirements
- Proven 3 years of experience as an assistant maintenance engineer in a luxury hotel environment (ideally qualified in plumbing or electrical engineering.)
- Proficient use of maintenance and building management systems,
- Extensive technical knowledge in air conditioning, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems,
- A strong commitment to delivering excellence and ensuring quality service in all interactions.
- Teamwork Collaboration is essential for providing seamless service to our clients and ensuring that we meet our goals.
