Main Purpose of the Role
Demonstrate a strong focus and drive to deliver and exceed revenue objectives and maximise conversion to achieve budget. Regular analysis of the business.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct client showrounds, support fam trips and drive a high conversion rate.
- Support large enquiries and ensure all new enquiries are dealt with within response time, fully qualified and complete with a full proposal based on client requirements.
- Responsible for negotiating with organisers and understanding key buying factors.
- Practise efficient and effective yield management in line with guidelines and maximise every sales opportunity, upselling wherever possible.
- Support the qualifying and chasing of key pieces of business.
- Ensure effective diary management, all rates quoted are in line with the hotel sell strategy, and control option business to maintain a clean diary and optimise conversion levels.
- Work closely with the Proactive Sales Team, passing on qualified leads for potential new clients and building relationships with existing clients to seek further opportunities.
- Meet and greet clients on arrival for their event and build strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business.
- Analyse refused business and ensure any denied business is for the right commercial reasons.
- Conduct regular re-book calls on all confirmed and lost business.
- Carry out regular competitor calls to analyse pricing and availability trends to support strategy setting.
- Support regular conversion days with the team and drive a hungry sales attitude in the office.
- Understand the competitive marketplace and suggest strategies to ensure the hotel stays ahead.
- Maintain a full understanding of the hotel’s annual sales budget to drive business forward and meet revenue targets.
