Due to growth, we’re looking for a dedicated Complex & Catastrophic Injury Legal Fee Earner within our dynamic Large & Complex Injury team, Manchester. So, if you are a Junior Solicitor / NQ or CILEX / Legal Executive with a passion for complex and large loss claims, this could be the perfect next role for you!
What will you be doing? You will help manage a varied caseload of pre-litigated and litigated claims representing major insurance clients in complex claims, including RTA, PL, animal claims, property damage, household claims, recoveries, and fatality claims. Your role will be extremely varied; one day you’ll be drafting legal advice and client consultations, the next investigation and evidence gathering, through to preparing court documents and court representation. To ensure that our clients are confident that their claims are dealt with in a professional and competent manner, you will develop good client relationships from the outset with ongoing support and communication throughout the entire process, with supervision from the Partner.
What do I need? Ideally, we are looking to hear from newly qualified / Junior Solicitors or CILEX Legal Executives with at least 2 years’ experience in managing / assisting a varied caseload. Litigation experience is essential, with hands-on knowledge of drafting court documents and a strong understanding of the DCP process, CPR rules, and litigation timelines. Exposure to working with the courts, insurer clients, brokers, and policyholders would be highly advantageous. You will need to be technically strong as well as having effective communication, proven negotiation skills, and a commercial mindset.
