Our private equity platform continues to expand, and we’re strengthening our investment capabilities to support this growth. We’re looking to add an Investment Leader or Senior Investment Leader to our London team, with a dedicated focus on our Technology vertical. This role offers the opportunity to identify, evaluate, and partner with innovative companies that are actively shaping the future of their industries.
Responsibilities
- Source Tech/Software buyout investment opportunities in Europe
- Set up and lead quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective investments
- Manage relationships with key investment stakeholders (management teams, advisors, partners, etc.) and develop a sector-specific network
- Lead and mentor teams of junior professionals, in and outside of the investment process
- Lead thematic research in relevant Tech sub-segments
- Lead preparation of investment memoranda, financial models, and investment analyses
- Present investment opportunities to the investment committee
- Lead negotiations of legal transaction documentation (SPA, SHA, MIP, etc.) with support from internal and external legal advisors
- Contribute to structuring and raising debt financing, with support from the PG Capital Markets team
- Actively engage with the boards of portfolio companies with responsibility for certain post-closing value creation work streams and board materials
- Contribute to PG client-related activities (pitches, update meetings, etc.) and internal tasks
What we expect
- 5-8 years of private equity experience, preceded by 2-3 years of investment banking or management consulting
- Superior business acumen and judgment to analyze investment opportunities, market information, and company financials within the Tech/Software sector
- Ability to flex both upwards and downwards to coordinate the investment process and ensure the highest quality of execution
- Board experience is a plus
