We are a family run business who have been supplying the Horticulture, Agriculture, Sports and Landscape industries for 30 years and are now looking to employ an additional Irrigation/Glasshouse Maintenance Engineer.

Team Responsibility Overview:

The installation team are responsible for servicing and installing watering systems to the Horticulture, Agriculture, Sports & Landscape industries. Also offering Commercial Glasshouse repairs. We pride ourselves on offering a supreme level of customer service, ensuring customers come back time and time again for further repairs and installations. Accuracy, attention to detail, great customer communication and teamwork all come together to ultimately drive the supreme level of customer service we strive to provide.

Individual Responsibilities:

As one of the Installation Engineers you will be a key member of the frontline team in direct contact with customers. The ability to work on your own as a service engineer and on the installation side, the job will be working as part of a team, installing pipe and connecting sprinklers, valves and low voltage control systems. Horticultural installation can be within a glasshouse environment and will include installing thermal screens and other glasshouse auxiliary systems.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Customer focus and communication skills are of paramount importance in this role.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a conscientious approach.
  • Enjoy a busy atmosphere and can cope under pressure during busy periods.
  • Excellent communicator with strong team working skills.
  • Some knowledge of pumps, pipe work, irrigation systems would be an advantage, but on the job training will be given.
  • Ability to work extended hours. Work sometimes includes working away with overnight stays where bed, breakfast and evening meal will be provided.
  • Must have a full driving licence.
  • The work is varied and is physically demanding, so will need to be physically fit.

Rates of pay will depend on experience, overtime is paid time and a half. Company van and mobile phone may be provided after successful training period. 20 days holiday per year plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 after 2 full years service.
