Duties
- Operate heavy goods vehicles, including Walking Floor trailers and Tipper Trailers, in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload goods safely using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Ensure accurate delivery of products to designated locations within specified timeframes.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols during operations to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly in delivery roles involving Walking Floor and Tipper trailers.
- Valid HGV Class 1 driver license, Driver CPC.
- Prior experience operating Walking Floor trailers, Tipper Trailers or similar large vehicles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to heavy vehicles is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
