Horsham District Council is looking for an Active Travel Co-ordinator to drive forward Horsham District Council’s ambitions of promoting sustainable transport and encouraging positive changes in travel behaviour.
As the Active Travel Co-ordinator you will champion active travel by improving and connecting walking, wheeling and cycling networks across the district. The post will involve close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders including West Sussex County Council, Parish and Neighbourhood Councils and community groups, and help ensure everyday journeys become safer, more accessible and enjoyable for people of all ages.
About you:
To succeed as an Active Travel Co-ordinator, you will need proven relevant qualifications and experience in transport planning, infrastructure development, or public realm projects. You will also be able to work under clear instruction and independently, and use your initiative to develop, recommend and progress solutions. Excellent partnership building skills and the ability to lead multi-agency initiatives is essential.
