Shift and schedule:
- AM Shift – 07.30-13.30
- PM Shift – 16.00-22.00
Location: Minchinhampton, Chalford, Nailsworth, Stroud and surrounding areas.
Job Purpose: Our clients want to remain as independent as they can for as long as possible. You can be a big part of that by giving person-centred support that is dignified and caring. Your role will involve offering support for everyone, making it interesting and varied. No two days are the same because no two people are the same. You will need to be adaptable, approachable and reliable.
Key Tasks:
- Assisting vulnerable people with personal care and other daily requirements in their own home.
- Serving as a companion to clients.
- Assisting with medication.
- Preparing meals and occasional shopping for groceries or other essentials.
- Monitoring clients and raising concerns where necessary.
- Ensuring clients are safe and comfortable by giving person-centred care for each individual and assisting with safe moving of clients where required.
- Ensuring all clients are safeguarded from harm.
Candidate: No experience is required, just a caring nature and a genuine interest in working in care. Full training will be given. Must have a full driving license with access to a car and business car insurance.
We pay full shifts, not per call (minimum 6 hours). Morning, evening and weekend shifts required. Bank contracts also available.
Mileage paid for between clients @ 45p.
5.5 weeks annual leave (including Bank Holidays).

Pay increase based on NVQ level.
Salary: £11.47 – £13.75, entry Level. Higher rates for NVQ 2-3. Enhanced rates for evenings, weekends and bank-holidays. Full Shifts paid. Mileage paid for between clients at 0.45p per mile.
About Horsfall House: Horsfall House is a not-for-profit, 44-bed Nursing Home with a thriving Day Centre and Home Care service based in the beautiful Cotswold town of Minchinhampton. We deliver care to residents and clients who require support throughout the day or 24-hour care, including those living with dementia, as well as offering palliative care, respite and short breaks.
