HorseWorld Trust is a pioneering charity that rescues and rehabilitates neglected horses, ponies, and donkeys while also transforming lives through its unique Discovery program. Established in 1952, the organization provides a safe space for equines that have suffered trauma and neglect, restoring their health and well-being. The Discovery program, launched in 2007, complements this mission by partnering rescued equines with vulnerable young people and adults, fostering personal growth and emotional resilience. Situated in Bristol, HorseWorld empowers both humans and animals to thrive and live fulfilling lives.
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bristol for the position of Head of Fundraising. The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for designing and executing fundraising strategies, cultivating relationships with major donors, identifying new funding opportunities, and enhancing philanthropy efforts. Additional responsibilities include fostering partnerships, promoting the charity’s mission, managing fundraising campaigns, and leading engagement activities to secure essential funding for HorseWorld’s impactful programmes.
Qualifications
- Experience with Major Donors and expertise in Philanthropy.
- Proven skills in Fundraising and Charities sector initiatives.
- Strong Communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Strategic mindset with a track record of creating successful fundraising strategies and campaigns.
- Knowledge of the charitable sector and a passion for supporting vulnerable individuals and animals.
- Relevant experience in non-profit fundraising roles, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed fundraising goals.
