About HorseHage & Mollichaff
HorseHage and Mollichaff are two established and trusted brands within the UK equestrian feed market. For over 30 years, our products have supported the health, performance, and wellbeing of horses nationwide. Both brands are sold exclusively through a nationwide network of independent equestrian retailers and feed merchants. As a result, marketing plays a vital role in building consumer awareness, driving demand, and supporting retailer sell-through. With a strong heritage and loyal customer base, we continue to invest in brand development, education, and engagement across the equestrian community. We are now looking to strengthen our marketing function to support the continued growth of both brands.
Role Overview
This is a varied role for someone who enjoys turning ideas into action. Working alongside our producers, marketing consultant and wider team, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and delivery of marketing activity across HorseHage & Mollichaff. You’ll work within an agreed overall marketing strategy, but we’re looking for someone with the experience and confidence to bring forward ideas, take ownership of projects and keep activity moving. From digital marketing and content to some of the UK’s leading equestrian events, sponsorships and retailer campaigns, it’s a broad role where no two weeks will look quite the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Help plan and deliver marketing campaigns across HorseHage & Mollichaff, in line with the overall marketing strategy.
- Manage day-to-day digital activity, including website updates, email marketing and social media (to include day-to-day community management).
- Plan, create and manage engaging content across all marketing channels, including photography and video.
- Take ownership of content shoots, from planning through to delivery, with additional filming and editing support available where required.
- Create and design marketing materials, including adverts, point-of-sale (POS) materials, social media graphics and other promotional assets for both brands.
- Coordinate editorial, PR, advertising and print activity, working with relevant publications and external suppliers.
- Plan and coordinate HorseHage & Mollichaff’s presence at key equestrian shows and events, including stand logistics, promotional activity and supporting marketing.
- Coordinate sponsorship activity across events, competitions, sponsored riders, ambassadors and other brand partnerships, helping to maximise the value of each relationship.
- Work closely with the sales team to support our nationwide retailer network through campaigns, communications, POS and promotional activity.
- Maintain the marketing calendar, coordinating activity across both brands and ensuring campaigns and projects are delivered on time.
- Brief and manage external suppliers and specialists, including designers, printers, photographers, videographers and digital support.
- Monitor marketing activity and performance, using results and feedback to help identify opportunities and improve future activity.
- Maintain consistent brand messaging and presentation across marketing materials and customer touchpoints.
- Attend selected shows, events and meetings as required, including occasional weekends.
About You
We’re looking for someone with previous marketing experience who is ready to take real ownership of day-to-day activity. You’ll be organised, proactive and confident managing several projects at once, with strong written communication skills and a good understanding of digital marketing. You’ll be comfortable bringing forward your own ideas, while also working within an agreed strategy and alongside a wider team. Experience of events, sponsorships, retailer marketing, websites, email marketing or content creation would all be beneficial. Knowledge of the equestrian industry would be a real advantage. You don’t need to be a specialist in every area of marketing. We’re happy to bring in external support where required – what matters is that you understand how the different elements fit together and can make sure activity gets delivered.
Benefits
- 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Company pension scheme
- Flexible working arrangements where possible
- Time off in lieu for weekend event work
- Staff discount on HorseHage and Mollichaff products
- Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- Opportunity to attend and work at leading UK equestrian events
