HORNDEAN TECHNOLOGY COLLEGE invites applications from dynamic, enthusiastic, and committed teachers to join a thriving, collaborative, and forward‑thinking department. The role contributes to the delivery of the Drama/Acting curriculum at KS3 and KS4, ensuring high‑quality teaching and positive outcomes for all students. A capacity to teach Dance would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the Drama/Acting curriculum at KS3 and KS4, including Edexcel BTEC Acting and BTEC Dance at KS4.
  • Plan, teach, and assess lessons with a focus on high standards and continual improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Subject Leader and wider team to support curriculum development, teaching, learning and provision.
  • Play a proactive role in the delivery of extracurricular arts provision, including the annual college musical production and performing‑arts clubs.
  • Engage students and encourage their participation in drama and dance activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong interest in curriculum delivery and passion for engaging students in drama.
  • Experience in teaching drama or dance, with knowledge of KS3/KS4 curriculum.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous practice improvement.
  • Eligibility to teach at the relevant level and subject area and possess the necessary qualifications.
