Responsibilities:
- Deliver the Dance curriculum at Key Stage 4 and Drama/Acting at Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring high-quality teaching and positive outcomes for all students.
- Work collaboratively with the Subject Leader and the wider team to support ongoing development of teaching, learning, and curriculum provision.
- Develop and maintain two designated studio spaces and deliver rehearsals, including the use of the sprung floor, ballet bar, and rehearsal mirrors.
- Support extracurricular provision for the arts, including a whole College musical production each year and performing arts clubs such as LAMDA exams and a KS3 Drama club performance.
- Participate in induction, professional development, and the Early Career Teacher programme, including mentoring, instructional coaching and a sequenced training programme.
Qualifications & Attributes:
- Dynamic, enthusiastic and committed teacher with a passion for engaging students in Dance and Acting.
- Strong interest in curriculum delivery, experience or knowledge of Edexcel BTEC Dance and Edexcel BTEC Acting at Key Stage 4.
- Ability to work as part of a vibrant and creative team and play a proactive role in arts provision.
- Commitment to high standards in the classroom, continuous development of practice and achievement of excellent outcomes for all students.
