About this Role
At Horncastle Primary School, we believe the first steps in a child’s education are the most important. We are looking for a temporary Teaching Assistant on a 1 year contract to bring fresh energy and care to our school.

The Role
As a vital part of our teaching assistant team, you will:
- Support children’s social and emotional skills, helping them find their voice and regulate their feelings.
- Collaborate closely with teachers to deliver an engaging, play-based curriculum.
- Create a safe, 'home-from-home' environment where children feel brave enough to learn.
Hours: 27 hours 30 mins per week (Term Time + 5 Training Days).
Schedule: 5 hours 30 mins daily.
Period: 01/09/2026 - 31/08/2027.
About You
We are looking for someone who is naturally warm, patient, and proactive.
Experience: Previous experience and qualifications in EYFS is desirable.
Skills: A love for outdoor learning, a 'can-do' attitude, and a genuine interest in child development.
Qualities: You should be a team player who communicates brilliantly with both young children and their families!
