HornbyChapman is seeking an ambitious, commercially minded Finance Director to join a well-established, 200+-person specialist legal services firm with operations in the UK and Germany.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance leader to join the Executive Leadership Team, working closely with the Board and Partners to influence strategy, drive financial performance and support the firm's continued growth.
We are looking for someone who combines strong operational financial management with strategic ambition – a hands-on leader who can challenge the status quo, improve processes and turn financial data into meaningful business decisions.
The ideal candidate will bring:

Senior finance leadership experience within a legal or professional services partnership.

A collaborative, engaging leadership style with proven people management experience.

Strong analytical skills and an evidence-based approach to decision-making.

The confidence, resilience and commercial judgement to challenge and influence senior stakeholders within a partnership structure.

A track record of improving processes, driving efficiencies and delivering projects alongside day-to-day financial responsibilities.

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, with a solid understanding of partnership finances.
This role is about much more than managing the numbers. We want someone who can bring people with them, challenge constructively, make things happen and play a genuine part in shaping the future of the firm.
Location: London – hybrid, minimum 2 days per week in the office, with greater office presence welcomed.
