The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 £ per hour.

Hours: 20 hours per week (Monday, Thursday & Friday, approximately 6.5 hours per day)

Contract: Fixed-term seasonal position, 25th June – 30th September.

Availability Required: 29th June – 17th July (candidates must be fully available for this period)

City Cruises UK is part of the City Experiences division of the Hornblower Group, a global leader in world-class experiences and transportation services. We operate public dining and sightseeing cruises as well as private charters for corporate events, birthday parties, weddings, or other special occasions across London and York. This is a varied, hands-on support position covering a broad range of operational and administrative duties across our vessels, boatyard, and landing. If you're the kind of person who gets stuck in, takes initiative, and doesn't need to be told twice — this role is for you. No two shifts will look exactly the same, and that's the point.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cashing Up Support — Assist with end-of-shift cash reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and flagging discrepancies in line with company procedures.
  • Laundry — Manage the collection, washing, drying, and return of linens and operational items on a scheduled basis.
  • Boatyard & Landing Cleaning and Maintenance — Keep our boatyard and landing areas clean, safe, and presentable; this includes clearing and reorganising storage cupboards, disposing of items no longer required, and general upkeep of back-of-house spaces and outdoor areas.
  • Stock/Uniform Management — Support receiving, counting, and organising stock deliveries; assist with rotation and replenishment across relevant areas. Recording and reporting uniform findings.
  • Boat Checks — Carry out routine vessel walkthroughs, recording any signage needs, cleanliness issues, or concerns for escalation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Financially literate — Comfortable working with numbers, cash, and basic record-keeping; able to spot an error and act on it.
  • A genuine can-do attitude — Willing to turn your hand to whatever needs doing, without hesitation or complaint.
  • Self-sufficient — You figure things out. You don't wait to be micromanaged. When something needs doing, you work out how and get on with it.
  • Dayforce – Experience with this cloud based human capital management system an advantage but not essential.
  • Physically able to carry out manual tasks including lifting, carrying.
  • Reliable, punctual, and conscientious — we're a small team and everyone counts.
