Horley Infant School is looking for a caring, nurturing member of staff to temporarily join our fantastic team to help support the children’s learning and development as one of our fabulous teaching assistants is having a baby. This position would be perfect for somebody who is child-centred, enjoys working with children under seven, has good interpersonal skills, is an effective team player and is knowledgeable about how to support learning in the infant phase.

We would love to hear from people who have an appreciation that everyone has the potential to achieve in their own way. An understanding of the Early Years Framework or KS1 National Curriculum or experience of leading interventions or supporting specific needs would be desirable.

This is a temporary contract for 12 months from September 2026. The working hours per week will be 26.25, across 38 weeks per annum (plus some additional training days). Working days are Monday to Friday from 8.40am to 3.10pm. Breaks during the day will be unpaid. The salary for this role is £14,870 - £15,573 pro rata (£24,330.00 - £25,480.00 Annually)(FTE).
