Abbey Hill Academy is a large welcoming specialist academy comprising of three main buildings, supporting secondary and post-16 students with special educational needs. Our cleaning team plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment for our students, staff and visitors.
We have a range of opportunities available to suit different working patterns
- 10 hours per week – 7.00 am-9.00 am (Actual Salary £6,042)
- 5 hours per week – 3.15 pm to 5.45 pm (Actual Salary £7,552)
- 5 hours per week – Split shift 7.00am – 9.00am and 3.15pm – 5.45pm
(Actual salary £13,594)
About the role
As a Cleaner at Abbey Hill Academy, you will help ensure our school remains clean, hygienic and welcoming. Duties will include cleaning classrooms, washrooms, kitchens and other areas around the academy.
You may also be required to operate floor-cleaning machinery, with full training provided.
We are looking for people who are:
- Reliable, hardworking and conscientious.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Keen to contribute to a positive school environment.
Previous cleaning experience, particularly in a school setting, would be an advantage but is not essential. Full training can be provided, so this could be an excellent opportunity for someone looking to join a supportive team.
