The Meadows Academy is a specialist academy providing education for pupils aged 11-16 with SEMHD. The position starts September 26.
Responsibilities:
- Have a strong understanding of the Maths curriculum as well as how different strategies can be implemented across the Academy to ensure a consistent approach.
- Have experience of working with students across KS3 and KS4 following a curriculum that leads to external qualifications that include Entry Level, Functional Skills and GCSE.
- Work collegiately to build on the strengths of the Academy and Trust.
- Be able to motivate staff that are fully engaged in the goal of achieving excellence in all areas of the Academy both personally and professionally.
Qualifications:
- The right candidate will need to be an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher, with high expectations of our students and themselves and have the ability, perseverance and resilience to be an outstanding practitioner.
- As well as excellent curriculum knowledge, good communication and interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will have proven ability to work as part of a team of teachers and support staff.
- This post is suitable for ECT or mainstream teachers seeking a change.
- Previous experience of working with students with SEMH would be an advantage but not essential.
