Join our Blackpool & Fylde Coast team as a Homecare Assistant. Whether you are balancing family, study or another commitment, we build flexible rotas around your availability, with the same pay, training and support as our full-time team.
Pay:
£14.50 to £16 per hour, plus 35p per mile paid mileage.
Hours:
Part-time and flexible. Choose the days and patterns that work for you, including evenings and weekends if you prefer. Full-time, around 35 to 40 hours per week on a planned rota, including some evenings and alternate weekends.
What you will do
- Support clients in their own homes with personal care, washing, dressing and continence care, always with dignity.
- Help with medication, meal preparation, mobility and keeping the home safe and comfortable.
- Provide companionship and emotional support. You are often the friendly face a client sees that day.
- Follow each client's care plan and record clear, accurate notes after every visit.
- Spot changes in a client's health or wellbeing early and flag them to the office team.
What we are looking for
- A caring, patient and reliable nature. Experience is welcome but not essential, as full training is provided.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (mileage is paid at 35p per mile).
- The right to work in the UK and willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check.
- Good spoken and written English to follow care plans and keep clear records.
- Flexibility to work some mornings, evenings and alternate weekends on a planned rota.
