Were looking for a warm and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school based in Barnet.
This is a lovely opportunity to work closely with one pupil with Autism, providing consistent support in a nurturing and structured environment.
This is a long-term Teaching Assistant role until the end of the school year, starting as soon as possible, until July on a full-time basis.
Your Teaching Assistant duties
- Supporting a pupil with autism on a one-to-one basis.
- Helping with personalised learning activities.
- Encouraging communication, independence, and social skills.
- Providing calm and positive behaviour support.
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEN team.
As a Teaching Assistant - what do the school require from you?
- Experience supporting children in Primary schools
• Previous experience supporting children with SEND is a bonus!
- A passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
- Confident in your ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to challenging situations
- Resilience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- A proactive attitude and team mindset
