About the Role:
Horizon Teachers is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Primary School in Croydon. This is a long-term role until the end of the academic year, with the potential to progress into a permanent position. The position involves supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, and complex learning needs. The successful candidate will provide both 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils to engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve their personal targets.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with children with SEN
- Be patient, caring, and committed to helping children reach their potential
- Be able to support learning both 1:1 and in small groups
- Have experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
- Have good communication and teamwork skills
- Be reliable, enthusiastic, and positive in their approach
