School Premises Manager Location: London Rate: £18.50 - £22.00 per hour (depending on experience) Start Date: September 2026
Horizon Teachers are seeking an experienced and proactive School Premises Manager to oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance and security of a busy school site.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on and organised professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe, compliant and well-presented learning environment for staff and pupils.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operation, security and maintenance of the school premises.
Conduct routine health & safety, fire safety and statutory compliance checks.
Coordinate contractors and manage planned and reactive maintenance works.
Ensure the school site is safe, secure and fully operational for the school day and school events.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and support the supervision of site staff.
Requirements
Previous experience as a School Premises Manager, Site Manager or Facilities Manager, ideally within a school environment.
Strong understanding of health & safety legislation, statutory compliance and general building maintenance.
Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
