Location: London

Rate: £18.50 - £22.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Horizon Teachers are seeking an experienced and proactive School Premises Manager to oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance and security of a busy school site. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on and organised professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe, compliant and well-presented learning environment for staff and pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation, security and maintenance of the school premises.
  • Conduct routine health & safety, fire safety and statutory compliance checks.
  • Coordinate contractors and manage planned and reactive maintenance works.
  • Ensure the school site is safe, secure and fully operational for the school day and school events.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and support the supervision of site staff.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a School Premises Manager, Site Manager or Facilities Manager, ideally within a school environment.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety legislation, statutory compliance and general building maintenance.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
