Horizon Teachers are pleased to be supporting a thriving secondary school in Redbridge, East London, as they look to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join their successful Humanities department on a permanent basis from April 2026.
This permanent position offers a competitive salary in line with the Outer London Pay Scale, ranging from M1 (£37,868) to UPS3 (£56,154), depending on experience.
This forward-thinking school is seeking a History specialist who can deliver engaging and purposeful lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 experience welcomed but not essential. You will be joining a committed, well-resourced department that places great emphasis on collaboration, high expectations, and strong outcomes for all learners.
About the Role:In this role, you will plan and deliver high-quality History lessons that develop students' understanding of key historical concepts, critical thinking, source analysis, and written evaluation skills. You will create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment, support high standards of behaviour and achievement, and contribute positively to the wider school community.
