Horizon Teachers are pleased to be supporting a thriving secondary school in Redbridge, East London, as they look to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join their successful Humanities department on a permanent basis from April 2026.

This permanent position offers a competitive salary in line with the Outer London Pay Scale, ranging from M1 (£37,868) to UPS3 (£56,154), depending on experience.

This forward-thinking school is seeking a History specialist who can deliver engaging and purposeful lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 experience welcomed but not essential. You will be joining a committed, well-resourced department that places great emphasis on collaboration, high expectations, and strong outcomes for all learners.

About the Role:

In this role, you will plan and deliver high-quality History lessons that develop students' understanding of key historical concepts, critical thinking, source analysis, and written evaluation skills.
