Horizon Teachers are recruiting for an Early Years Practitioner to work in a prestigious independent school located in Camden. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and creative practitioner who is passionate about supporting children's early development within a nurturing and stimulating Early Years environment.
Key Responsibilities of an Early Years Practitioner:
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's language, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in line with the EYFS framework.
- Foster a warm, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independent learning.
- Observe children regularly, tracking progress and contributing to developmental records and reports to support individual learning journeys.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, ensuring clear communication around progress, development, and any key updates.
- Support classroom organisation and daily routines, including activity preparation, mealtimes, and maintaining a safe and tidy learning space.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure consistency and high standards of care across the Early Years setting.
- Adhere to all safeguarding, health and safety, and child welfare policies at all times.
What we are looking for in an Early Years Practitioner:
- Level 6 Childcare qualification (or equivalent) in Early Years Education.
- Strong experience working with young children, ideally within an independent school or similar setting.
- A creative and forward-thinking approach to Early Years learning and development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence liaising with parents and colleagues.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- A warm, caring, and approachable nature with a genuine passion for Early Years education.
- A solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
