Horizon Teachers are pleased to be working with a welcoming Primary School in Redbridge who are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils across the school on a 1:1 basis, helping them thrive both in and out of the classroom.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, helping them progress academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Working across different year groups if required (Reception up to Year 6).
- Working closely with the class teacher to adapt activities and resources to meet the pupils' individual needs.
- Encouraging independence, developing social skills, and boosting self-esteem.
- Providing personal care when required, such as assisting with toileting and supporting at mealtimes.
- Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
