Horizon Teachers are supporting an OFSTED rated Good graded secondary school in Lewisham, South London, in their search for a new Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP. This fantastic secondary school is looking for an engaging and resourceful Teaching Assistant to support students across an array of subjects and year groups.
The nature of this Graduate Teaching Assistant job will require you to work with pupils that have SEN, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. You will need to help manage behaviour and use your initiative to support students wherever necessary! This role starts ASAP, running through the whole of the upcoming academic year.
What the school are looking for in their Teaching Assistants:
- A Graduate with a degree from a leading UK University
- Experience supporting children of a secondary age
- Competent in both GCSE Maths & English
- Resilience and an ability to quickly create a rapport with pupils
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is very desirable
- Confident working 1:1 and within small groups of children
