Horizon Teachers are seeking an enthusiastic and pro-active Teaching Assistant who enjoys being a role model for children. The role includes supporting pupils with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and complex needs. Successful applicants will have skills and qualifications to work within a warm and friendly environment.
Key responsibilities:
- The supervise and work with groups of children to deliver parts of the curriculum/EYFS under the guidance of the designated teacher, taking account of each child's differing level of development.
- To establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
- To carry out learning tasks as directed by the Class teacher.
- To liaise with teachers and carry out admin tasks outside the school day or as requested by the Headteacher.
- To foster links between home and school and support teachers and children.
