We are currently hiring for a Digital Marketing Assistant to join our client’s small marketing department at their office in Haverhill, Suffolk. This is a permanent, full-time position working from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday and is an office-based role. The position would suit somebody analytical who prefers the back-end side of digital marketing over creative, and if you have an interest in sport, or golf – even better!

The Company

Our client is a big, globally renowned player in their field. While the company itself isn’t a large workforce, they are an incredibly well-established business, firmly embedded in their markets. They have a hard-working, driven and down-to-earth team who, while serious about their work, also enjoy a laugh together, too.

The Role

Your primary focus will be maintaining, optimizing, and growing the company’s global digital footprint.

Bringing an analytical and detail-oriented mindset, you’ll be sharpening your skills across SEO, CRM management, and web analytics in a supportive environment.

Reporting to the Marketing Executive and working as part of a busy, small commercial support team, this is a varied digital marketing role.

Duties will involve:

  • Website Updates & SEO: Coordinate and implement routine updates to the company website via WordPress. Apply basic SEO and SEM principles to improve search visibility and organic traffic.
  • Distributor Portal Management: Serve as the main administrator for the company’s distributor portal. Coordinate user access, upload and organize the latest marketing assets, update product documentation, and ensure global distributors have seamless access to necessary resources.
  • Email Automation & Campaigns: Assist the Marketing Executive in building, testing, and deploying automated email marketing workflows and drip campaigns. Handle audience list segmentation to ensure targeted, high-performing messaging.
  • Lead Management & CRM: Assist the Sales coordinator in maintaining the hygiene and structure of the CRM database (HubSpot/Odoo). Coordinate incoming marketing leads, ensure proper tagging and assignment, and map the lead flow to assist the sales enablement process.
  • CRM & Email Operations: Assist the Sales coordinator in managing the CRM system (Odoo). Handle list segmentation, clean subscriber data, and deploy scheduled email marketing campaigns.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and track digital KPIs using Google Analytics. Prepare monthly performance reports on website traffic, email click-through rates, and campaign conversions to provide optimization insights.
  • Social media scheduling
  • Market & Competitor Research: Conduct routine digital market research and competitor monitoring to spot online trends and keywords.
  • Administrative Support: Help maintain the central marketing calendar, log digital advertising invoices, and support webinars or digital events.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (typically 1–3 years) in a digital marketing support or administrative role.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (WordPress) and email software (Mailchimp/HubSpot).
  • Basic understanding or exposure to CRM systems (HubSpot/Odoo) and Google Analytics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data tracking.
  • Preferably, a degree in Marketing, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • A meticulous eye for detail and data accuracy.
  • An analytical mindset with a passion for digital trends.
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking abilities.
  • A collaborative team-player spirit.
  • Enthusiasm towards learning new digital tools and platforms.
  • Ability to get to and from the Haverhill office for the set working hours each weekday, and a willingness to be based in the office five days per week.
  • An interest in sport is advantageous.

In Return

Our client is offering a salary in the region of £32,000 per annum depending on relevant skills, experience and qualifications. They offer 31 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays) and the chance to work in a fun, professional, busy commercial environment which caters to the sporting industry.
