We are seeking a fully qualified Gas Engineer to cover South East London, Croydon and Dartford areas and surrounding areas. This full-time permanent role offers a salary of £40,000-£45,000 and includes a van, laptop, phone and test equipment.

The Company

The company is a property maintenance provider offering gas and electrical safety inspections, Legionella testing, CO and smoke alarm repairs and installations. The head office is based in rural Suffolk.

The Job

Primary responsibilities include completing gas-safety checks and remedial work. You may also be required to install boilers, complete combi swaps, support other engineers occasionally, diagnose faults and carry out installations to a high standard. The role involves working across South East London, Croydon and Dartford areas, with a flexible appointment schedule up to a maximum of 40 hours a week, normally between 08:30 and 17:30.

The Requirements

  • Experience in domestic heating and plumbing systems.
  • Up-to-date Water Regulations (Part L), vented and unvented qualifications.
  • Familiarity with controls and wiring plans; relevant electrical qualification (Part P).
  • ACS certificates: CKR1 for cookers and ranges, CENWAT for boilers and water heaters, HTR1 for fires, ideally DAH1 for space heaters and warm air.
  • G3 Unvented Qualification is helpful.
  • Asbestos and Legionella awareness training.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • A full, clean driving licence and no more than 6 points.
  • DBS check required.
