Horizon School seeks to appoint an English Teacher or Instructor at our main school site in Lowestoft.
Horizon School is a two site Alternative Provision (KS1 – KS4 site and Tier 4 In-patient Youth and Adolescent CAMHS) in North Suffolk. Children come to Horizon School for intervention when they require support in managing their behaviour. This can often be at a point of personal crisis or where their underlying needs haven’t yet been identified, which are therefore creating a barrier to them accessing mainstream education.
You will implement and deliver the Horizon School English curriculum to years 7-11 and other subjects as specified in the job description, which engages and ensures all students are able to make progress in line with expectations in all subjects.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Any offer of employment to this post will be subject to receipt of a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and two references.
