Group Fleet & Asset Manager (HPL99) Chelmsford, England
Salary: GBP45000 - GBP45000 per annum
Horizon Group (consisting of Horizon Parking Ltd, AEJ Management Ltd, Gleneagles Project Services Ltd and PW Architectural Consultants Ltd), is a growing national business providing integrated parking, facilities management, project management, and architectural services across the UK. Supporting a diverse operational estate, the Group manages a significant portfolio of vehicles, equipment, sites, and business‑critical assets that enable our colleagues to deliver exceptional service to clients nationwide.
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Group Fleet & Asset Manager to take ownership of our fleet of over 120 company lease / hire cars and vans, whilst leading the effective management, compliance, optimisation and lifecycle planning of fleet and wider operational assets and associated asset register across the organisation.
Reporting to the Group HR & Corporate Services Director, you will have overall responsibility for the management, performance and governance of the Group's vehicle fleet, operational assets, and wider estate‑related resources. You will ensure our fleet of over 120 vehicles remains safe, compliant, commercially efficient, and operationally effective, whilst working closely with colleagues across the business, suppliers, contractors, and leasing partners to continuously improve service delivery, cost control, and asset utilisation.
Beyond fleet management, you will take ownership of the Group's asset management framework, driving greater accountability, visibility and lifecycle planning across vehicles, equipment, and operational assets. You will play a key role in supporting business growth, enhancing operational resilience, and ensuring our estate and assets remain fit for purpose as the Group continues to expand.
This is a standalone role with end‑to‑end responsibility for the Group's fleet and asset management function. As the subject matter expert, you will be equally comfortable developing strategy, driving commercial and operational improvements, managing key supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance, whilst also overseeing the day‑to‑day administration and operational delivery required to keep the function running effectively.
