Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Launceston at Horizon Home Improvements & Architectural Glazing. The Job Title will support the delivery of glazing and home improvement projects from initial concept through to installation and completion. Day-to-day responsibilities may include coordinating with architects, builders, project managers, and homeowners, assisting with measuring, planning, and preparing materials, and ensuring that installations are carried out safely, accurately, and to a high standard. The role will also involve maintaining clear documentation, following project timelines, and supporting CAD or 3D design processes by providing accurate site information and feedback. The Job Title will work closely with the wider team to uphold excellent customer service and contribute to continuous improvement in both technical quality and client experience.
Qualifications
- Practical skills in construction, glazing, or home improvements, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
- Experience collaborating with architects, builders, project managers, and homeowners, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills for site measurements, product fit, and safe installation practices.
- Comfort with basic digital tools and an interest in CAD or 3D design workflows to support project visualization and planning.
- Strong organizational skills, including time management, documentation, and ability to follow project schedules and quality standards.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites across the South West as needed.
- Relevant experience in architectural glazing, fenestration, carpentry, or a related trade; vocational training or certifications in construction or building services are an advantage.
- Commitment to health and safety regulations and a professional, customer-focused approach on-site and in client interactions.
