Job Description

Clinical / Forensic Psychologist
Location: Wiltshire (Melksham, Devizes, Salisbury)
Salary: £60,000 Full Time (37.5 hrs.) Some Remote Working
Driving license and own car required

Join Horizon Care & Education to deliver a comprehensive therapeutic service for children across our Wiltshire homes including a new assessment home focused on identifying individual needs.

What You ll Do:

  • Provide psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention for children with complex trauma and emotional needs

  • Support and train care teams to embed therapeutic practice

  • Deliver evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, EMDR, trauma-focused approaches)

  • Contribute to safeguarding, risk management, and multi-agency planning

  • Promote reflective practice and psychologically informed environments

What We re Looking For:

  • HCPC-registered Clinical or Forensic Psychologist (doctoral-level qualification)

  • Experience working with children and young people affected by trauma

  • Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills

  • Excellent communication and autonomy in practice

  • Full UK driving licence and own transport

Desirable:

  • Experience in service evaluation or transitions between placements

  • Training in DBT, play therapy, or MBT approaches
