Hours: Full Time, Term Time only across 3 SEN Schools (Wigan, Rochdale, Oldham)

Location: SEN Schools in Wigan, Rochdale and Oldham

Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload of schools to provide high levels of support and consultation for operational colleagues
  • Provide therapeutic advice and guidance to teams to enable them to support young people throughout their journey with Horizon
  • Be responsible for assessments, goal setting and recommendations for therapeutic support for your own caseload
  • Develop, write and regularly review/update therapeutic goals for children and young people in education
  • Develop and contribute to the delivery of therapeutic and psychological training to all staff in the organisation as part of the Therapeutic Academy
  • Benefit from regular supervision and CPD activities
  • Participate in service development activities across the Horizon Group

Qualifications

  • HCPC registered
  • Accredited by BACP, BABCP, UKCP
  • BSc/MSc registered Art/Music/Play Therapist or Psychotherapist (or nearly qualified)
  • Experience of working with children and young people or demonstrable transferable skills
  • A desire to support services through embedding therapeutic practice
  • Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision
  • Well‑developed communication skills, orally and in writing
  • Ability to work autonomously with support from individual and peer supervision
  • Ability to role‑model behaviours and attitudes in line with organisational values
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office components (Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle
