We are looking for an inspirational SENCO Assistant to assist the Senior Leadership team at our Great Howart School based in Rochdale.

Great Howarth School is a bright and modern independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls.

Based in Rochdale, the school has recently undergone a major refurbishment and now includes a brand-new primary school building. Across both sites, we meet the diverse needs of pupils aged 7-18 with a range of complex needs, including Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, and Autism.

At Great Howarth, we deliver a holistic and bespoke curriculum that offers rich learning experiences, helping young people develop the functional and life skills they need to flourish beyond school.

As a SENCO assistant you will primarily be assisting the SENCO in managing the day to day educational provision for the students who have a variety of SEND needs, you will be tasked with supporting the professional development of the staff team including the INSET provision.

QTS i preferable for this role and experience within a SEN provision.

You will observe individual students on a daily basis all the while working with the school therapy team to deliver targeted interventions and support.

Your role will include a high degree of collaborative working alongside the existing SLT, teaching staff and senior educational management team.
