We are looking for SEN Teachers of Secondary aged children to join our new school in the Long Eaton area (NG10). You will be working with children aged 5-19 in a specialist SEN environment, specialising in Maths, English or Science. Meadowbrook School will be a brand-new, independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for up to 80 pupils. Based in Long Eaton, Nottingham, the school will meet the diverse needs of pupils aged 5-19 with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Refurbishment is currently underway, with completion scheduled for late Summer.

We provide a holistic, bespoke curriculum with rich learning opportunities that enable young people to develop their functional life skills in order to experience a high quality of life. Bright Futures, Inspired By You.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • QTS or QTLS Qualification
  • Proven teaching and learning experience
  • Up to date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience

The ideal candidate should:

  • Be an outstanding classroom practitioner
  • Have the energy, passion, and drive to raise standards
  • Have initiative, vision, excellent planning, and organisational skills
  • Have experience of working with students with SEMH and additional needs
  • Have knowledge and understanding of developments in education
