Horizon Care and Education have an exciting opportunity for a passionate English Teacher at our Olympus School based in Croydon, close to public transport links.
Olympus is an independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls aged 11-19 with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Needs.
Situated in a peaceful area on the edge of ancient woodland, Olympus features co-regulation rooms on both floors, a sensory activity room, breakout classrooms, a library, a science laboratory, a computer room, and one-to-one spaces.
At Olympus, our dedicated team of staff deliver a broad and balanced curriculum closely aligned to the National Curriculum. Students can work towards qualifications ranging from Entry Level to GCSEs across a variety of subjects, selecting their options in Year 10.

- QTS or QTLS Qualification and/or relevant experience
- Have up to date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience.
The ideal candidate should:
- Be an outstanding classroom practitioner.
- Have the energy, passion, and drive to raise standard.
- Have initiative, vision, excellent planning, and organisational skills.
- Have experience of working with students with SEMH and additional needs
- Have knowledge and understanding of developments in education.
