Horizon Care and Education have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Headteacher for our brand new Wickham Park School, based in Bromley (BR4)
Wickham Park School is a brand-new SEN school in the heart of Bromley, South London. Set across three buildings, the school provides exceptional, modern learning facilities for up to 70 pupils aged 5-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Autism.
Wickham Park School’s site has an inspiring collection of warm, nurturing classrooms; a vibrant and fully resourced library; a specialist teaching kitchen; a creative art studio; and a suite of dedicated therapeutic and co‑regulation spaces designed to support a rich diversity of needs.
As a Deputy Headteacher you will aim to achieve the highest possible standards and outcomes for the pupils. You will be a trusted member of the senior management team. Responsible for the implementation of effective policies and procedures that support the high standards of educational. You will work to assist the Head teacher in the day to day running of the school.

- QTS or QTLS Qualification
- Have similar SLT experience in an SEN environment
- Up to date OFSTED and knowledge of the SEN education sector and desired outcomes.
- Have up to date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience.
The ideal candidate should:
- Strategically oversee the school’s resources to support the achievement of educational objectives and priorities effectively and efficiently .
- Collaborate with the headteacher to clearly articulate, disseminate, ensure understanding of, and effectively implement the school’s vision among all stakeholders .
- Prioritise pupil achievement, safety, and well-being as the core focus of all school activities.
- Foster a culture of challenge and support to empower every student to succeed and actively engage in their learning journey .
- Articulate and uphold high expectations by setting ambitious targets for the entire school community.
- Exemplify the school’s values consistently through daily work and actions.
