Horizon Care and Education have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher for our NEW MEADOWBROOK SEN SCHOOL based in Long Eaton. Meadowbrook School will be a brand-new, independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for up to 80 pupils. Based in Long Eaton, Nottingham, the school will meet the diverse needs of pupils aged 5-19 with Autism.
The Headteacher Sarah is eager to recruit to her new SLT team and is looking forward to meeting suitable candidates for the role. As an Assistant Headteacher you will aim to achieve the highest possible standards and outcomes for the pupils as a member of the senior management team. Responsible for the implementation of effective policies and procedures that support the high standards of education. You will work to assist the Headteacher in the day-to-day running of the school.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Lead on curriculum, Teaching and Achievement.
- Exams Officer.
- Mentoring teachers and staff through qualifications.
- Experience in behaviour and timetabling.
The ideal candidate should:
- Strategically oversee the school’s resources to support the achievement of educational objectives and priorities effectively and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the headteacher to clearly articulate, disseminate, ensure understanding of, and effectively implement the school’s vision among all stakeholders.
- Prioritise pupil achievement, safety, and well-being as the core focus of all school activities.
- Foster a culture of challenge and support to empower every student to succeed and actively engage in their learning journey.
- Articulate and uphold high expectations by setting ambitious targets for the entire school community.
- Exemplify the school’s values consistently through daily work and actions.
