Due to continued growth and expansion, Horizon Care and Education offer a peripatetic teacher role within the Alternative Learning Pathway team in the Wigan area. The role involves delivering one‑to‑one education in community settings and may include occasional support in school.
Responsibilities
- Visit children to deliver 1‑1 education in the community.
- Attend meetings and training at the school.
- Provide support and cover lessons at school as required.
- Build and maintain educational relationships with students outside a school environment.
- Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs of students who have struggled in a school environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- QTS or QTLS qualifications.
- Proven teaching and learning experience.
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge.
- Energy, passion and drive for engaging lessons.
- Initiative, vision, excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Experience or passion for working with students with SEN/SEMH in 1‑1 or small group settings.
- Driver's license and ability to own/operate a car.
