Horizon Care and Education is looking for a Senior Primary Teacher to join the new Wickham Park School in Bromley. The role involves teaching primary subjects to children with various SEN needs, including those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Autism. The school will accommodate up to 70 pupils aged 5-19.

Responsibilities

  • Teach primary subjects to pupils with SEN, adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
  • Develop and implement engaging and inclusive lesson plans that support diverse learners.
  • Collaborate with SENCos, therapists and colleagues to provide holistic support for students.

Minimum Requirements

  • QTS or QTLS qualification.
  • Proven teaching and learning experience.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge.
  • Outstanding classroom practice.
  • Energy, passion, and drive to raise standards.
  • Initiative, vision, excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH and additional needs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of developments in education.
