If so, Horizon Care and Education is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Draycott Moor School. Draycott Moor College is an independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls. Based in Staffordshire, the school meets the diverse needs of pupils aged 10-18 with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Needs. What You’ll Get To Do:

  • Assisting students in their educational and social development.
  • Providing support inside and outside of the classroom, so they can fully engage in a wide range of activities.
  • Help to set up activities for students, using technology or adjusting the environment to suit their needs.
  • Support teachers, engaging with students, providing learning support, and reacting to situations in the classroom in a positive, non-disruptive manner.
  • Working 1:1 with some students, to give them the time and support they need to learn.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Experience of working with children who have behavioural support needs with a good knowledge of behavioural management techniques and strategies.
  • Grade C or above GCSE in English and Math, or L1/2 equivalent functional skills qualification.
  • Hold or be willing to work towards a recognised teaching assistant qualification.
