Horizon Care and Education invites applications for an SEN Maths Teacher at Thornycroft School, Oldham. The school, opening soon, will serve up to 70 pupils aged 5‑19 with SEN, including SEMH and Autism. The role requires delivering high‑quality mathematics instruction to secondary‑aged children.

Responsibilities

  • Teach maths to secondary aged pupils with a range of SEN needs.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to curriculum goals.
  • Collaborate with Headteachers, SENCos, operational directors, and the therapeutic team.
  • Provide support through therapeutic training and the SHINE programme.

Qualifications

  • QTS or QTLS qualification.
  • Proven teaching and learning experience.
  • Up‑to‑date safeguarding and child‑protection knowledge and experience.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH and additional needs.
  • Strong classroom practices, energy, passion, drive, initiative, vision, planning, and organisational skills.
