Horizon Care and Education has an exciting opportunity for an SEN Learning Mentor to join our Alternative Learning Pathway team in the Warwickshire area. HALP aims to support and engage young people for whom learning in a school environment is not appropriate. We deliver short to medium term, personalised learning programmes nationally — a combination of direct home tutoring, mentoring and online learning for pupils from ages 8-25. As a peripatetic practitioner you will visit children to deliver 1-1 education in the community. You will be expected to attend meetings and training where required. You will be working in a variety of non-school settings where you will be building and maintaining excellent educational relationships with the students. Your focus will be the individual learning needs of the student who has struggled in a school environment. You will need to be a car owner/driver.
Responsibilities
- Deliver 1-1 education in the community as a peripatetic practitioner.

- Build and maintain excellent educational relationships with students in non-school settings.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Up-to-date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience.
- 1 year experience working with SEN/SEMH children in a 1-1 setting, based in the community or home.
- Be a car driver with own vehicle.
- Energy, passion, and drive to create exciting and engaging lessons for students.
- Initiative, vision, excellent planning and organisational skills.
