Job Overview

Hours: Full Time, Term Time only across 3 SEN Schools

Salary: £(Apply online only)

Location: SEN Schools in Wigan, Rochdale and Oldham

Background: Will consider candidates with an Art, Play, Dance, Drama and Music therapy background.

Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload of schools to provide high levels of support and consultation for operational colleagues.
  • Provide therapeutic advice and guidance to teams to enable them to support young people throughout their journey with Horizon.
  • Be responsible for assessments, goal setting and recommendations for therapeutic support for your own caseload.
  • Develop, write and regularly review/update therapeutic goals for children and young people in education.
  • Develop and contribute to the delivery of therapeutic and psychological training to all staff in the organisation as part of the Therapeutic Academy.

Qualifications

  • HCPC registered.
  • BACP, BABCP, UKCP accredited BSc/MSc registered Art/Music/Play Therapist or Psychotherapist (nearly qualified acceptable).
  • Experience of working with Children and Young People or relevant demonstrable transferable skills.
  • A desire to support services through embedding therapeutic practice.
  • Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision.
  • Well-developed communication skills, oral and written.
  • Ability to work autonomously with support from individual and peer supervision.
  • Ability to role model behaviours and attitudes in line with organisational values.
  • Sound understanding of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle.
